Veneers
![Dental Veneer Process, Burlington ON]()
Do you want a smile makeover without waiting months or investing time in multiple dental procedures? If so, you may be an ideal candidate for porcelain veneers from our Aldershot, Burlington dental practice. These thin shells of porcelain require very little tooth preparation and they can change virtually any aspect of your smile to your liking.
Are you a good candidate for veneers?
Virtually anyone with sound tooth structure who desires
aesthetic smile enhancement is a potential veneer candidate. This procedure can correct:
- Uneven or unattractively shaped teeth
- Naturally dark tooth color or permanent stains
- Gaps between teeth
- Uneven or asymmetrical smile
- Teeth that are disproportionate to other facial features
- Worn or naturally small teeth
- The appearance of crooked teeth
- Minor chips or fractures
- The overall appearance of your smile
Introducing Lumineers
Even thinner than standard porcelain veneers, Lumineers are one of the most conservative cosmetic restorations available. In some cases, they do not require any alteration to the natural teeth. At most, a very small amount of enamel may be shaved from the tooth surface to accommodate the minimal thickness of the Lumineer veneer.
What to expect
The first step is a
complimentary consultation. Your
dentist will take time to listen, address your concerns, understand your goals, and answer your questions. Once we know what you envision for your smile, we will formulate a treatment plan to make that happen.
We use wax models to preview and refine the veneer design. Next the teeth are prepared and temporary veneers are placed. When the permanent veneers are ready, they are checked for optimal fit, functionality, and appearance before being bonded to teeth. The entire process generally takes about a week, but it can be completed in a single day by special arrangement.
