Dr. Swati Khanna

Dr. Swati Khanna has extensive experience in all aspects of dental care, from root canal therapy to dental implant treatment. She has a special interest in, and talent for, children’s dentistry. With a soft voice, gentle touch, and strong mothering instinct, she quickly gains the trust and friendship of our youngest patients. She understands that dental appointments can feel confusing and intimidating for a child, and she strives to help them feel confident and in control. Before beginning treatment, she explains to the child that they can tell her if something hurts, and she will immediately stop. This approach tends to melt away the fear, even for highly anxious children. Her standard of care is to treat every child as she would want another medical professional to treat her own precious children.

Dr. Khanna is a University of Toronto School of Dentistry graduate, and a firm believer in the power of education. She dedicates a great deal of time to inspiring, encouraging, and teaching children about oral health in a fun and positive way. She participates in many community outreach programs, including local elementary Brush-a-mania events. She also spends time providing dental care to underprivileged families in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Seeing the joy that she is able to bring these families is one of the most rewarding experienced of her life.

When she isn’t busy caring for patients’ smiles, Dr. Khanna’s priority is caring for her two young sons. In her rare free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, practicing yoga, and stealing a quiet moment with a good book.

Dr. Liliana Otrocol

Dr. Liliana Otrocol has been with our practice since shortly after she graduated from University of Toronto in 2005. She is an integral member of our team who enjoys helping patients improve their smiles, and educating them about healthy habits and oral hygiene.

Dr. Otrocol practices all areas of dentistry, and has a special interest in working with anxious or fearful patients. Her gentle techniques and personal approach helps people feel at ease and realize that dental care can be a positive experience. Customer service and patient care are of utmost importance to her, and she is dedicated to making sure every patient feels comfortable and confident. She loves to see patients leave the office with a smile!

She holds active membership in the Burlington Dental Association and the Ontario Dental Association. She attends numerous continuing education courses, and stays abreast of the latest technological developments in dentistry.

In her free time, Dr. Otrocol enjoys adventure and world travel.

Dr. Sam Gupta

Dr. Sam Gupta, known to his patients as “Dr. Sam,” is an experienced dentist with a passion for excellence in patient care. From early childhood he knew that his calling was medicine. The personalized, hands-on aspect of dentistry appealed to him because he wanted the opportunity to develop a rapport with his patients.

Dr. Sam attended University of Toronto, where he graduated with honors due to his natural aptitude and unwavering dedication. A problem solver by nature, he embraces the challenges of dentistry, particularly in complex cases. He is keenly aware that effective dental treatment involves a delicate balance of art, science, and human compassion.

As a University of Toronto dental faculty member, Dr. Sam enjoys sharing his knowledge and inspiring excellence in his students. He is also a student himself, regularly attending continuing education courses and other educational opportunities. He is dedicated to furthering his knowledge, refining his skills, and embracing the latest discoveries, technologies, and new methods in dental medicine.

When asked what his favorite aspect of dentistry is, Dr. Sam has a simple answer: Everything. His passion for dentistry is limitless, which is why he choose not to limit himself to a narrow specialty. Instead, his skillset, his love of dental care, and the variety of services he can provide to patients continue expanding infinitely.

Patients often remark about Dr. Sam’s warmth, kindness, and genuinely caring chairside manner. He believes in treating everyone with respect and compassion, and he never loses sight of the goal of improving people’s lives.

When he isn’t at the office, Dr. Sam’s life revolves around his family. His favorite activity is spending quality time with his two sons, though he does squeeze in the occasional game of squash or golf.

Dr. Abhishek Apratim

Dr. Abhishek Apratim is very passionate about dentistry and treats his patients with utmost care and compassion. His journey started back in India where he did his initial dental education and completed his Masters in prosthodontics. He has worked as a specialist in India for 6 years. He is also fond of teaching, which landed him as a faculty in one of dental schools in Malaysia.

His quest for knowledge and honing new skills brought him to the United States where he graduated from the prestigious Boston University School of Dental Medicine with high honors and is included in the national dental honor society (Omicron Kappa Upsilon) in 2020.

He has an experience of working with various cultures and ethnicities. He practices all aspects of dentistry including oral surgery, endodontics, esthetic dentistry, and dentures. With vast experience and intensive education, he will provide quality dental care with his calm and caring personality. When he is not doing dentistry, you will find him listening to music, travelling, and spending time with family.
