- Oral sedation: Here, the dentist prescribes an oral pill that you take an hour or so before the appointment. This sedation makes you drowsy, so you need to make transport arrangements in and out of the dental office. Medicinal sedation puts you in a deep relaxation state, and sometimes you may doze off, although a little nudge is enough to wake you up. After the treatment, you will remember little about the procedure.
- IV sedation: This strong sedation is ideal for severe dental phobia. The medication is administered through an IV line inserted in your vein. You remain unconscious throughout the process, but we closely monitor your vital signs and ensure you are breathing normally through an oxygen mask.
